13-year-old pitching sensation Mo’ne Davis set the world on fire during her Philadelphia team’s monumental run during the recent Little League World Series. Although her team the Taney Dragons eventually lost to the U.S. champions, the all-black Jackie Robinson West team from Chicago, Mo’ne graced the cover of Sports Illustrated and made history by becoming the first female to win a game at the LLWS.
Journalist Ed Gordon interviewed Mo’ne on his “Just Ed” segment on The Steve Harvey Morning Show, where Mo’ne talked about being a role model and her future plans. She told Ed she wants to keep playing baseball but eventually would like to play basketball for the University of Connecticut.
